If their were a movie of our lives…
A follow-up to my commentary on my repost from Ernies tumblr…If we were to make a short of our lives we’d likely play ourselves BUT in a big budget version of our life…or a slightly exagerrated version of it…the boyfriend could be played by BD Wong or Alec Mapa…not because he looks like either one of them but because theyre the only Asian actors in Hollywood who seem to get any work…but they’re both good looking guys (as is Ernie) so he’s okay.
I, on the other hand, will likely be played by one of the following thespians : Ned Beatty, James Gandolfini, or Charles Durning. If I’m lucky, maybe Jonah Hill or Seth Rogan…but I know some casting director will say “No, too young for the part!”.
The only thing I am sure of is that undoubtedly, my part will be described as a “John Goodman type”….
….
…and on that note I’m going to bed…because I don’t have any alcohol nearby.
